Collection: Wool & Jute Rugs
These handwoven flatweave rugs combine jute with wool. The jute gives a natural, textured ground; the wool adds softness and carries colour, so patterns look crisper than on pure jute.
How they feel
Firmer than an all-wool rug and softer than pure jute. The flat, woven construction keeps them low and light, so they are easy to move, roll and store.
Where they work
Living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms and hallways. The low profile sits comfortably under doors and furniture. Like all rugs with jute, they belong in dry indoor spaces.
Care
- Vacuum regularly with the beater bar turned off.
- Blot spills straight away with a clean, dry cloth and use as little water as possible, because jute does not like to be soaked.
- Do not steam clean or machine wash.
- Rotate every 6 to 12 months for even wear and light.
- A rug pad stops slipping and protects the floor.
Sizes
Many designs can be woven to a custom size. Send us your measurements and we confirm every detail before weaving begins.
Questions
How is this different from a jute rug?
The wool makes the surface softer and lets colours and patterns show more clearly. A pure jute rug is more rustic and textured.
Can I order one in a custom size?
Yes. See custom rugs.
